SoulRaye is the brainchild of singer, producer, composer, keyboardist, Michael Raye; singer, dancer, songwriter, Kristen Gray; Between the two, they have performed, toured and/or recorded with a virtual who’s who in the music business, including: Dave Stewart (of The Eurythmics), Mick Jagger, Bootsy Collins, Daryl Hall, George Clinton (of P-Funk), Gloria Gaynor, Deniece Williams, Will Downing, Ric Ocasek(of the Cars), Phyllis Hyman, Lou Reed, Mary Wilson, Little Anthony and the Imperials, Lucky Peterson, Tom Browne, Noel Pointer, and Richie Havens among others. The experience of having worked with these greats has helped to shape an explosive and exciting stage show. Combining improvisation and original compositions along with new arrangements of well known hits, this dynamic, charismatic duo either scaled down or with their four piece band will take you on an original, funky, soulful musical journey that will leave you breathless and fulfilled in the spirit of Luther Vandross, Prince, Sting, Sly and the Family Stone, and the Black Eyed Peas.
